Sound is in the air

After two seconds of Deep Purple’s “Smoke on the Water” you have an irrepressible urge to play the air guitar? Now you don’t need the right music anymore to get into the groove. Just make your own! A team of Finnish students of computer science has developed a software which adds sound to the air guitar player’s moves. The Virtual Air Guitar Project reacts to the user’s gestures by creating a repertoire of real sounding guitar riffs, licks and chords. You just have to put on a pair of gloves to turn into a rock star – and the hottest riffs will burn your hands!
